Forecast view table
The Forecast view table is the heart of the page. Each row is one product variant; each column is a fact, a metric, or a suggestion you can act on. This page is the reference: what each column shows, when it’s visible by default, when a cell is empty, and where the value comes from.
If you’re looking up a single column quickly, jump to Reference → Forecast column reference, the same data flat-alphabetised.

What you see by default
Section titled “What you see by default”A new view starts with a small set of columns:
| Column | Plain-English meaning |
|---|---|
| Image | The variant image. |
| Product/Variant Title | The product title with the variant title (e.g. “Red / Medium”) and SKU beneath it. |
| In Stock | The variant’s inventory, with incoming stock beneath it when there is any. |
| Reorder Date | The day you should place the order. |
| Days of Stock | How many days your stock lasts at the forecast pace. |
| Reorder Forecast | How many units to order. |
| Supplier | The supplier’s name. |
A new view shows 10 rows per page; all locations are included; the default forecast settings are Average model with a fixed Last-90-days history window.
For more reorder detail, add columns from the Reorder point metrics, Reorder quantity metrics, and Days of stock metrics groups below.
Core columns explained
Section titled “Core columns explained”These five are the ones you’ll look at every day. They get prose treatment because the math behind them isn’t obvious from the label.
In Stock
Section titled “In Stock”How this column behaves depends on the location filter:
- All locations (default): the variant’s on-hand across every location. This mirrors Shopify’s on-hand value.
- One or more locations selected: switches to the sum of available quantity at those locations (Shopify’s available bucket: on-hand minus committed), not on-hand. The semantics change deliberately, because per-location planning works against what’s truly orderable from that location.
Either way, the column updates within a minute or so of stock moving in Shopify.
The cell can also show context beneath the quantity:
- ”+ X Incoming” when open incoming quantities exist.
- ”⚠ X overdue. Awaiting receipt” when part of that incoming stock is past its delivery date and still needs receiving.
- ”− X planned outflow” when inventory commitments or launch plans that feed the forecast still expect to take stock of this variant, counted from tomorrow on: a plan dated today counts 0. It’s the same figure the forecast deducts. See Plans in the forecast.
- “In X Draft POs” when the variant already appears on one or more Draft POs. Hover the cell to see those Draft PO rows alongside incoming, on-hold, and disputed PO quantities.
When plans take stock out, the hover card also has a Planned outflow tile with the total and how many plans contribute, and one row per plan with its plan number (a link to the plan), status, start date, and what it still takes from tomorrow on.
The hover card also lists the variant’s available quantity per location, under a By location heading below the purchase-order rows, with a Total available figure alongside the heading. Worth knowing:
- It always lists every location, even when the view is filtered to one, so the number in the cell can legitimately differ from the total in the hover card.
- Locations are ordered by available quantity, highest first. A location where the variant isn’t stocked shows a dash; a location that stocks it but has none left shows 0. A location Logistified can’t name reads “Unknown location”, and on very large shops the list ends with +N more locations.
- Where you’ve set per-location variant constants, the Min / Reorder / Target / Max values appear under that location’s name.
In the Supply view, the column shows two plain lines instead: what’s available and what’s incoming. The hover card is the same.
Worth distinguishing from related columns:
- On Hand: exposes the on-hand value explicitly, regardless of location filter.
- Committed: units reserved for orders you haven’t shipped yet.
- Reserved: a separate Shopify reserve bucket, usually empty unless you’re using specific Shopify reserve flows.
Reorder Forecast
Section titled “Reorder Forecast”Logistified’s suggestion for: if I place a PO today, how many units do I need to stay safe through one more lead-time cycle until the stock arrives? It’s the recommended order quantity after MOQ, pack size, and economic order quantity adjustments.
The cell shows several visual signals:
- A green “EOQ” pill next to the number when economic order quantity beat the raw demand-based number. Logistified prefers EOQ because it minimises holding + ordering cost.
- A MOQ progress bar underneath the number, colored:
- Red if demand fills less than 70% of the supplier’s MOQ; you’re ordering mostly to satisfy the minimum.
- Orange if demand fills 70–99% of MOQ.
- Emerald if demand exceeds MOQ comfortably.
- A sub-line appears in two cases:
- “X Back Orders”: when your variant’s inventory policy is “Continue selling when out of stock,” and X customer orders accumulated while you were out. Their units are rolled into the next reorder.
- “X Lost Sales due to missed ROP”: when your variant’s inventory policy is “Deny,” and X units of demand were lost while you were out. Counts toward reporting; not added to the reorder.
Hover the cell for the full math breakdown; every input value used in the calculation appears in the hover card.
Reorder Date
Section titled “Reorder Date”The day Logistified expects your on-hand to drop to the reorder point. Color-coded:
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Red | Overdue: you should have reordered already. |
| Warning yellow | Due today, or within the next 7 days. |
| Muted | Due in weeks or months. |
| A dash (no date) | No recent sales: the model lacks signal. |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
When the cell shows a dash / “No recent sales data”, treat it as “I can’t tell yet.” It’s not a bug; it’s the model refusing to guess.
The forecast counts sales up to yesterday, so the day’s results don’t change with the time you look. An item whose only sales are from today says Today’s sales count from tomorrow instead, on its own page and in a view that shows Sold Today; the item’s Sales & margin tab already includes them.
Days of Stock
Section titled “Days of Stock”How many full days your stock lasts at the model’s predicted sales rate before you’d first miss sales. Incoming stock counts only if it arrives before that day; when you’d run out before a delivery lands, the cell warns Stock-out before incoming.
The related Days of Stock with All Incoming column also counts deliveries that land after such a stockout, useful for “how long until I run out for good, with everything that’s already on the way?”. It’s never lower than Days of Stock.
Both columns show a placeholder when the variant has no sales signal (or has so much stock the math overflows).
Reorder Point
Section titled “Reorder Point”The inventory level at which you should reorder. At a high level: the demand you expect during your lead time plus a safety stock cushion.
The inputs:
- Forecast model output → daily demand.
- Lead time from the variant’s primary supplierPrimary supplierThe supplier whose lead time, MOQ, pack size, and cost feed the reorder math for a variant. One per variant. You can change it any time. Read more → .
- Safety stock: automatic (95% service level by default) or a value you set.
- Force majeure factor if you’ve enabled it.
- Supplier reliability: buffers the cushion if the supplier’s on-time rate is lower than ideal.
For the full breakdown of these inputs (base safety stock, supplier-reliability buffer, force-majeure factor, lead-time demand), open the variant detail page → Safety Stock Breakdown panel. That’s where the per-component numbers behind this cell live.

|---|---|
| Buildable Now | Units you could assemble right now from the component stock you have on hand, pooled across the locations you’ve selected (or all locations, if none are selected). Shown on Bill of Materials (BOM) items only, hidden by default. |
| Buildable incl. Supplier Stock | Same as Buildable Now, but also counts your own stock that’s physically held at suppliers. |
| Limiting Component | The single component currently capping Buildable Now, the one you’d need to restock first to build more units. |
| Pre-Assembled | Finished units already built and sitting on the shelf at the selected locations. |
| In Pre-Assembled Stock | For a raw material, how many units of it are already locked up inside pre-assembled parent items on the shelf. Shown on raw-material rows only. |
These five columns need the Assemblified app connected to your shop; install it from the Shopify App Store and Logistified detects the connection on its own; there’s nothing to configure here. If Assemblified isn’t connected, the cells show a short reason with a link to open Assemblified instead of a number. If it’s connected but the data can’t be reached, the cells show a Retry button instead. Hover a populated cell for the full breakdown behind it: for Buildable columns, which components go into the build and how much of each you have; for In Pre-Assembled Stock, which pre-assembled items are holding the material.

| Sales Days/Month (3m), (6m), (12m) | Average number of days per month with at least one sale, over the fixed window. A day counts once no matter how many orders it had; this isn’t an order count. Low values flag sporadic sellers. |
| Sell-Through (30d) | Share of the units you had that sold in the last 30 days: sold ÷ (sold + In Stock). Empty when there is nothing sold and nothing in stock. |
| Sell-Through Change (30d) | Percentage-point change of the 30-day sell-through compared with the 30 days before. |

| Momentum Trend (7d/28d), (14d/90d) | Up when the short-term rate is at least 20% above the long-term rate, Down when at least 20% below, Stable in between, Insufficient data when there isn’t enough history. Filterable. |
| YoY Change (28d) | Units sold in the last 28 days compared with the same 28 days one year earlier (52 weeks back, so weekdays line up), in %. Empty until the item has 13 months of history. |
| Gross Profit at Risk | Gross profit you would lose to a stockout that an order placed today can no longer prevent: daily gross profit × the days you’d run out before the supplier’s lead time, plus the commitment and launch-plan units you couldn’t ship in that time. 0 when stock covers the lead time. Sort by it to see what needs ordering first. |
| Sold Today | Units sold so far today (UTC). The forecast itself only uses complete days. |
| Sold Today vs 30d Avg | Today’s units compared with the average daily sales of the last 30 days, in %. Green from +10%, amber from −10%. |

Sales Performance mode
Section titled “Sales Performance mode”When a view uses the Sales Performance display mode, the table shows Product/Variant Title, In Stock, and these seven columns. They can’t be sorted; hover a header’s ⓘ to see how it’s calculated.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Sales Velocity | Units sold per week (average of the last 4 complete weeks) and in the last complete calendar month, each with its trend, plus a chart of the last 6 months. |
| Sell-Through | Units sold ÷ (units sold + In Stock) over the last 7 days (/wk) and 30 days (/mo), each with its change in percentage points. |
| Gross Margin | (Price − Shopify Unit Cost) ÷ price, in %. Needs both a price and a unit cost. |

| Weeks to Sell | How many weeks your In Stock quantity lasts at the current weekly sales rate. |
| Capital Tied Up | The value of your stock at cost: In Stock × Shopify Unit Cost. |
| Sold Today | Units sold so far today (UTC), compared with the 30-day daily average. |
Scrolling
Section titled “Scrolling”As you scroll down through the table, the column headers stay at the top of the page so you can keep track of each value. You can still sort columns or select the page’s rows from the pinned header. This works in Standard, Supply, and Sales performance modes, including views grouped by product.
For wide views, use the single horizontal scrollbar. It sits under the table when the bottom is visible and floats near the bottom of the page, above the Sidekick notch, while the table continues below the screen. Drag the scrollbar or focus it and use the arrow keys, Home, or End to move sideways. The headers stay aligned with the columns as you scroll. When you reach the end of the table, the header scrolls out of view with it; the toolbar and page controls scroll normally.
Paging
Section titled “Paging”The bar under the table carries the page controls: Rows per page, first / previous / next / last buttons, and the Page X of Y indicator.
The indicator is a control, not a label. Click it to open a page picker, or type a page number into Go to page… and pick Go to page N to jump straight there. On a view with very many pages the list shows the first page, the last page, and the ones around where you are, rather than all of them; typing narrows it to the matching numbers.
Each view also remembers the page you were last on and reopens there. Anything that changes which rows are in the table (a filter, a sort, a different page size, switching between Variants and Products) sends you back to page 1, and a page number beyond the end of the results lands you on the last page rather than an empty table.
Show / hide columns
Section titled “Show / hide columns”Click the Columns button in the toolbar. A popover opens with every available column listed. Toggle visibility per column; drag rows to reorder. Your changes are staged while the popover is open; click Apply (or simply close the popover) to refresh the table once with all of them, or Reset to discard the session’s edits. At least one column always stays visible.
To persist your choice, click “Save view”; the column visibility and order get saved into the active view, alongside the filters, sort, location scope, and forecast settings. See Views & filters for the full picture.
Empty-cell meaning
Section titled “Empty-cell meaning”A blank cell isn’t always “no data.” Different columns use different conventions.
| Column type | Empty cell means |
|---|---|
| Reorder Date | No recent sales: the model can’t pick a date. |
| Days of Stock | Either no sales history, or plenty of stock (the math overflows). |
| Days Until Reorder Point | Same as Reorder Date: no signal. |
| Supplier columns | The variant has only the Default supplierDefault supplierA built-in supplier entry that represents "no supplier assigned." Logistified attaches it to every variant by default; you replace it when you set a real primary supplier. Read more → . Assign a real one to populate. |
| Sales metrics | No sales in the chosen window. |
| Variant overrides | You haven’t set one; defaults apply elsewhere. |
| Image | The variant doesn’t have one in Shopify. |
| Manufacturing (Assemblified) columns | Empty on a row that’s neither a Bill of Materials item nor a raw material. A dash with a link to open Assemblified means it isn’t connected; a dash with a Retry button means it’s connected but the data couldn’t be reached. |
