Notifications

Enhanced plan

Notifications is the home for everything Logistified emails you about stock. It holds two things: Stock notifications, which are real-time alerts that fire the moment a variant’s inventory crosses a trigger, and Scheduled reports, which are recurring summaries sent daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

Both go out by email, but the trigger model is different. Stock notifications are event-driven — they fire on the inventory change that crossed your trigger, usually within seconds. Scheduled reports run on a clock — use them for recurring overviews.

Opening Notifications in the sidebar lands you on a hub with two cards — Stock notifications and Scheduled reports — each showing how many are currently active. Click a card to open that list.

Below the cards is an Activity panel — “Recent alerts and upcoming report runs”. It’s a single table covering both halves of the feature, so you can see at a glance what has gone out and what is queued up next:

ColumnWhat it shows
TypeAlert for a stock notification, Report for a scheduled report. Test sends carry an extra Test badge.
ItemThe product and variant that alerted, or the report’s name.
DetailFor an alert: the trigger that fired, the quantity, and the threshold. For a report: Manual run or Scheduled run, plus the report type.
LocationThe location the alert came from, or a dash for shop-wide alerts.
StatusDelivery state — Pending, Sent, Delivered, Bounced, Failed — or Scheduled for a run that hasn’t happened yet.
WhenHow long ago it went out, or how far off the next run is.

View All Rules and View All Reports in the panel header jump straight to the two lists.

You can create as many rules as you like. Each rule is independent and carries its own name, on/off switch, triggers, monitored variants, and recipients — so “low stock on bestsellers, emailed to the buying team” and “anything out of stock in the Berlin warehouse, emailed to that warehouse’s manager” are two separate rules that don’t interfere with each other.

Every rule also picks a scope: shop-wide (Global) or Per location. See Notification rules.

Scheduled reports now live inside Notifications too, at Notifications → Scheduled reports. Everything about them is unchanged apart from the location and two additions — a Send now button and a History tab. See the Reports overview.

  • Rule — one named stock-alert configuration: triggers, variants, recipients, and an on/off switch.
  • Scope — whether a rule watches your shop-wide stock (Global) or each location separately (Per location).
  • Stock-out alertStock-out triggerA trigger inside the Custom Stock Notification rule that fires the moment a variant's on-hand inventory crosses to zero. Does not re-fire while the variant stays at zero — re-arms only after stock rises back above zero. Enhanced-plan feature. Read more → — fires the moment on-hand crosses to zero.
  • Stock thresholdThreshold triggerA trigger inside the Custom Stock Notification rule that fires the moment a variant's on-hand inventory crosses from above a configured value to at or below it. Re-arms only when stock rises back above the threshold. Enhanced-plan feature. Read more → — fires the moment on-hand crosses below a configured value.
  • Days from reorder pointDays-from-reorder triggerA trigger inside the Custom Stock Notification rule that fires when the forecast-projected days until reorder for a variant drops to or below a configured value. Gated by a 48-hour per-variant cooldown so day-to-day forecast jitter doesn't re-send. Depends on the forecast having run for that variant. Enhanced-plan feature. Read more → — fires when forecast-projected days until reorder drop to or below a configured value.
  • RecipientRecipientA person who gets a notification or a report by email. Can be filtered to only receive items matching a specific saved view. Read more → — someone on your team who gets the email. The recipient list is shared with scheduled reports and lives in Settings → Recipients.
