Manufacturing in a Floormode warehouse

If your shop uses Floormode, our companion warehouse app, a manufacturing order produced at a warehouse Floormode runs is executed through Floormode. Floormode’s team picks the components and puts the finished goods away; Logistified keeps the order, its plan and its built counts, but writes no stock adjustment for it.

  1. Start production. Floormode receives the order’s component plan (the requirements times the targets) and picks the components to its production bench.
  2. Record production. Use the order’s Record production dialog as usual. Instead of a stock adjustment, Logistified tells Floormode which components the production consumed and how much finished goods it made. Floormode books both, and puts the output away.
  3. Built counts. What you record counts as built straight away, on the order, in the list, in exports and in the forecast’s incoming, even before Floormode has put it away.

Editing the materials or the targets of a started order sends Floormode the changed plan. Cancelling the order cancels Floormode’s pick. Recording the same production twice is safe: pressing Record production again in the same dialog after an interrupted answer never records it twice.

The order’s page shows where Floormode stands, step by step:

If Floormode refuses something, the card shows Floormode’s reason and what to do:

  • A production’s components were not booked: correct the cause in Floormode. Don’t record that production again; that would count its output twice.
  • The output was not put away: correct the cause in Floormode. Don’t record it again: the whole output is sent again with the next production you record.
  • The plan was refused: correct the materials or the targets; the change is sent again.

Two kinds of order at a Floormode warehouse stay outside Floormode. The card says why, and production follows the ordinary build card path:

  • “Floormode executes a manufacturing order with one build. Split the builds into separate manufacturing orders.” Split the order if you want Floormode to execute it.
  • “This manufacturing order is executed by an Assemblified work order, so Floormode does not execute it.” Unlink the work order if you want Floormode to execute it, or keep producing through Assemblified.

The reverse is refused: an order Floormode executes can’t be linked to an Assemblified work order once it has started (“Floormode executes this manufacturing order, so an Assemblified work order cannot execute it too.”).

On an order Floormode executes, Logistified refuses a step Floormode could not carry out, before anything is sent or recorded:

You seeWhat to do
”These materials are not stocked in Floormode at the production location: … Stock them in Floormode there first.”Stock the named materials in Floormode at that warehouse, then try again.
”Floormode has not confirmed this material at the new connection yet. Try again in a moment.”Right after the receiving agreement was confirmed again. Wait a moment and record again.
”Sub-assemblies are not executed in Floormode yet”Remove the Assemblified sub-assembly from the materials before starting.
”Start production first: Floormode picks the materials when the manufacturing order starts.”Start the order, then record.
”Production was already recorded through Floormode at another location.”Move the build back to that location, or create a new manufacturing order for this one.
”Floormode can only put away products that exist in Shopify.”Record output only for products that exist in Shopify.

You can’t hand a warehouse back to Logistified while a manufacturing order there is still in production in Floormode. On the Floormode card, Check readiness for a list that no longer includes the warehouse, its activation, and Return to shop-wide receiving all refuse the change and name the order: “Finish or cancel MO-… first: it is still in production in Floormode at a location this change hands back to Logistified.” An order counts as in production until it is completed or cancelled, every unit of output recorded on it is put away in Floormode, and nothing about it is still on its way to Floormode. Finish or cancel it, then check readiness again.
