Enhanced plan

A trigger is the condition that makes a rule send an email. Each rule has its own set, switched on and off independently on the rule’s Triggers tab, and each one is evaluated separately every time Shopify reports an inventory change for a monitored variant.

Three triggers are available on every rule. Four more — the variant constants — unlock when the rule’s scope is set to Per location.

Stock-out alert

Fires the moment a variant’s on-hand inventory reaches 0. No configuration value — just switch it on.

Triggers when inventory drops from a positive number to zero.
Will not re-fire while the variant stays at zero — it only re-arms after stock rises above zero again.

Use it for the loudest alerts: “tell me the second something goes out of stock.”

Stock threshold

Fires when a variant’s on-hand inventory falls below a number of units you configure (the default is 50).

Triggers when inventory crosses from above the threshold to at or below it.
Will not re-fire while inventory stays below the threshold — it only re-arms once stock rises above it again.

Use it for early warnings on slow-moving items, before they hit zero.

Days from reorder point

Fires when the forecast-projected number of days until a variant hits its reorder point drops to or below a number you configure (the default is 14).

Logistified uses your forecast to estimate when each variant will reach its reorder point. When that estimate gets short enough, the trigger fires.
A 24-hour per-variant cooldown prevents the same variant from re-alerting if the forecast wobbles. After 24 hours it can fire again if the estimate is still inside your window.
Variants without enough forecast data are silently skipped.

Use it for “what should I order this week?” alerts that catch slow drift before it becomes a stock-out.

The four variant-constant triggers

A rule scoped to Per location gets a Variant constants card on its Triggers tab. Switch it on and tick any combination of four boundaries. Instead of one shared number for the whole rule, each variant is compared against its own constants — the values you already maintain per variant — at the location whose stock just changed.

Trigger	Fires when
Below minimum inventory	Stock at a location drops to or below the variant’s minimum.
Below reorder point	Stock at a location drops to or below the variant’s static reorder point.
Below target inventory	Stock at a location falls under the variant’s target — landing exactly on it is fine.
Above maximum inventory	Stock at a location reaches or exceeds the variant’s maximum. This one is an overstock warning, not a shortage.

The values come from Settings → Variant Settings → Variant constants. A variant with no value for a given boundary simply never alerts on that boundary — so you can roll these out gradually, filling in constants for the items you care about first.

On a Global rule the card explains that these triggers are per-location only, and points you at the scope selector.

Monitoring scope

The Triggers tab opens with a Monitoring scope card — “Choose which variants this rule watches”:

Monitor all variants — the triggers you set below apply to every variant the rule covers. You can still override individual variants on the Variants tab.
Monitor only specific variants — only the variants listed on the Variants tab are watched, and the default triggers are ignored.

If you pick “Monitor only specific variants” and haven’t added any yet, the card warns you: “No variants configured yet. Add variants on the Variants tab.”

Per-variant overrides

Whichever mode you choose, any individual variant can carry its own trigger values — a tighter threshold for an A-tier item, for instance. Overridden rows are badged Custom in the variants table. See Monitored variants.

Do I need a Forecast view?

No — not any more. A view is optional on every rule, and only the days from reorder point trigger requires one.

No view — the rule watches everything. On a per-location rule you can then narrow it with the Locations picker instead.
With a view — only the variants in that view are watched, and on a per-location rule only that view’s selected locations.

If you clear the view while the days-from-reorder trigger is on, Logistified switches that trigger off for you.
