What a recipient is
Section titled “What a recipient is”A recipientRecipientA person who gets a notification or a report by email. Can be filtered to only receive items matching a specific saved view. Read more → is a person Logistified can email. Each record has three fields, all required:
- First name
- Last name
That’s the whole record. There’s no per-recipient view filter, no active/inactive toggle, and no per-recipient delivery setting — you control who gets what by subscribing them to individual rules and reports.
Two places to manage them
Section titled “Two places to manage them”| Where | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Settings → Recipients | Add, edit, and delete people in the shared list. The same list powers stock notifications and scheduled reports, and the Used by column tells you which rules and reports each person is on. See Settings → Recipients. |
| A rule’s Recipients tab | Tick the boxes next to the people who should receive this rule’s emails. Untick to unsubscribe them from this rule without deleting them. |
Adding someone to the shared list doesn’t subscribe them to anything — subscription happens per rule.
Subscribing people to a rule
Section titled “Subscribing people to a rule”Open the rule, go to the Recipients tab, and tick the people who should receive it. The card shows a running N selected badge, and a search box helps on a long list. At least one recipient is required before a rule can be saved.
Adding someone without leaving the rule
Section titled “Adding someone without leaving the rule”If the person you need isn’t in the list yet, click Add recipient right there on the Recipients tab. Fill in first name, last name, and email, and they’re created, added to the shared list, and ticked on this rule automatically — without losing anything else you’ve typed into the rule.
The icon next to it, Manage recipients, opens the full Settings → Recipients page when you’d rather work there.
Removing recipients
Section titled “Removing recipients”- From a single rule — untick the box on the rule’s Recipients tab.
- From the shared list entirely — delete them in Settings → Recipients. The confirmation tells you exactly how many rules and reports they’ll be removed from before you commit.
Previewing what they’ll receive
Section titled “Previewing what they’ll receive”Two options, and they answer different questions:
- The rule’s Preview tab renders each alert email with sample data, so you can check the layout and wording.
- Send test email sends a real email using a real variant’s current stock. Use this one when you want to confirm delivery actually works. See Notification rules.
Unsubscribing and bounces
Section titled “Unsubscribing and bounces”The emails don’t carry an unsubscribe link — to stop sending to someone, untick them on the rule or delete them from the shared list.
Logistified doesn’t automatically remove addresses that bounce, but it does show you when it happens: bounced sends appear as Bounced in the Activity table on the Notifications hub, and in a report’s History tab. Clean up problem addresses yourself.
