Connect Logistified with Floormode and Assemblified

Logistified plans and buys, Floormode runs the warehouse (receiving, bins, picking, counts) and Assemblified runs your bills of materials and production. This page covers Logistified’s part of connecting all three. Floormode’s and Assemblified’s own help pages cover their part.

  • Logistified is installed on the shop.
  • Floormode and Assemblified are installed on the same Shopify shop. A connection can only be switched on for a shop that has the other app.
  • In Floormode, every warehouse you want it to run is set up (its Shopify location linked, bins in place).
  1. Logistified. You are here.
  2. Floormode. Install it and set up your warehouses. Floormode does not take over a location’s receiving until you hand it over below, so nothing changes in Logistified yet.
  3. Assemblified. Install it and set up your bills of materials.

Each connection has a switch at both ends. Turn on both ends; neither app connects by itself.

The Floormode card tells you where the connection stands, in the same words Floormode and Assemblified use:

The Assemblified card shows Connected while Assemblified confirms the connection; Logistified asks it once a day. Not connected means Assemblified said the connection is off, or has not confirmed it yet: install Assemblified, then switch on Logistified in Assemblified › Settings › Integrations. The card turns to Connected once Assemblified has sent its first data and the next daily check confirms it. The card also shows the date of the latest material demand Assemblified sent. The card links to the Forecast columns that show Assemblified’s planning numbers (Columns › Manufacturing (Assemblified)).

Switching the connection on does not move receiving yet. You choose the locations, Floormode confirms it can take them, and only then does receiving move.

  1. On the Floormode card, turn on Floormode owns receiving.
  2. Under Which locations does Floormode receive at?, tick the locations Floormode runs.
  3. Click Check readiness. Each location comes back Ready or Not ready with a reason.
  4. If a location says Go live in Floormode first, open Floormode, run Go live on that warehouse, then click Check readiness here again.
  5. Click Activate. Nothing changes until you do. From now on Floormode receives at the ticked locations; every other location stays with Logistified.

You can change the list, check again or return to shop-wide receiving at any time. While a change is on its way to Floormode, neither app writes stock at the affected locations; Re-send / reconcile finishes the wait.

What Logistified stops doing at a Floormode location

Section titled “What Logistified stops doing at a Floormode location”
  • Receiving. A purchase or transfer order bound for that location shows Receiving happens in Floormode instead of its receive controls. Floormode receives, puts away and writes the stock to Shopify; the received quantities come back into the order here.
  • Writing received stock to Shopify. Logistified’s own sync on receiving stands down there, so no unit is counted twice.
  • Pushing stock-take counts. You can still count there and the count is recorded here, but the push to Shopify is left to Floormode.
  • Forecasting, reorder points, low-stock alerts and reports.
  • Purchase orders: creating, editing, splitting, costs, supplier communication and completion. A sent or confirmed order is announced to Floormode as expected stock, with its unit cost when the order line has a price and a currency, so Floormode can warn when an applied cost differs.
  • Transfer orders’ planning, and their outbound leg when Logistified runs the source warehouse.
  • The received quantities Floormode reports, line by line.
  • The lot number and expiry date Floormode recorded at the dock, in the Lot / Expiry column.
  • A Rejected in Floormode column when Floormode’s inspection rejected units on a line. These units are part of the received quantity, never added to it, and they never reach a sellable bin. (The Rejected column next to it is Logistified’s own: units refused instead of received.) Inspection can finish after you complete the purchase order or put it on hold; the figure still arrives and the order keeps its status. Rejected units never count as incoming and are never sent to Shopify, also not by a later Sync to Shopify.

Transfer orders from a Floormode warehouse

Section titled “Transfer orders from a Floormode warehouse”

When Floormode runs a transfer order’s source warehouse, Send hands the transfer to Floormode for picking instead of marking it sent here; it becomes Sent once Floormode ships it. See Floormode warehouse execution.

Manufacturing orders at a Floormode warehouse

Section titled “Manufacturing orders at a Floormode warehouse”

A manufacturing order with one Internal, Manual build at a warehouse Floormode runs, and no Assemblified work order executing it, is executed through Floormode: Floormode picks its components, and Record production books the consumption and the output there instead of a stock adjustment here. Every other order is recorded here as before. See Manufacturing in a Floormode warehouse.

Floormode’s own materials on purchase orders

Section titled “Floormode’s own materials on purchase orders”

Materials Floormode creates and holds itself appear in Logistified’s virtual-materials picker, each with the unit its quantity and cost are entered in. You can order them on a purchase order whose destination Floormode receives at; Floormode receives them, and Logistified never receives, moves or counts them. On an order Floormode doesn’t receive, the add dialog names such a material with the reason and waits until you remove it. A transfer order can’t carry one: Floormode moves its own materials between its warehouses itself.

Supplier stock releases into a Floormode warehouse

Section titled “Supplier stock releases into a Floormode warehouse”

A supplier stock release shipping into a warehouse Floormode receives at is announced to Floormode when you request it, updated when you ship or edit it, and withdrawn when you cancel or complete it. Floormode receives the goods; its received totals come back into the release here. Logistified’s own receive and sync stay with the warehouses it runs.

When Floormode and Assemblified are both connected, Floormode picks the materials for Assemblified’s work orders and books the finished goods. In Logistified nothing changes: the materials Assemblified’s builds and bundle sales use keep arriving as demand in your forecast.
